“5th July 2008. Marilyn, a friend, works with glass. This is one of the pieces that she has given to me – it is about 3cm x 6cm. I was taking some macro shots of it in the sun, and I thought it might be interesting to get someone’s face behind it. I don’t have any WILLING models (I get told to put the camera away mostly), so I used myself.”

I asked the same question Marilyn! Glad I’m not the only one who wondered.

I held your piece of glass about 2 cm in front of the camera lens, then just took pictures of myself. I had the sun in my face which helped. All very low tech:)

That’s an amazing effect, Andrew. I don’t know how you did that!
