“I went for a walk on Sunday (18 May 08) with the Pandani Bushwalking Club. I found these mushies in the Myrtle forest area, only about 20km from Hobart. It was an exercise in speed photography because I didn’t want the club members to worry about me and wait down the track. I ended up carrying the camera mounted on the tripod for most of the walk to save time.”

“This picture was taken at the end of March this year (2008) a few kilometres from the top of Mt Hartz. It was a shock for me to see snow in March. Susan Jenkins took the shot using my camera - a little waterproof 5 megapixel Pentax. I remember giving her a hard time because she was taking so long (poor woman), but I really like the shot.”

“I usually work on a theme. Lately it has been dew or raindrops on leaves. I just keep looking for opportunities and keep taking pictures until I am tired of it. And then, after time, or when I get a new camera, I’ll come back and do it again. I think I’m related to a goldfish.”

“I have no idea where the chook lives. She shows up when she is hungry, and is often looking in through the bathroom window. Her and the cat lived here for two months with nobody looking after them, until I moved in. I’m amazed the cat didn’t eat her. She is pretty bossy when she wants to be fed.”

“I felt like a paparazzo (not my favourite people) when I was harassing this poor spider with my camera. I kept blocking his path whenever he tried to move. I haven’t seen him since.”

“I was in the garden, chasing bees from flower to flower. After a while, it seemed as though they just started ignoring me, and let me get close to them with my camera.”

Reminds me of all the stories I’ve been reading about Sounds like we need to get serious.
